For one night only the Wallace Collection is inviting students and under-25s to experience the museum after-hours. There will be opportunities to hear about the bawdy Dutch paintings and the Collection’s highlights, and learn about the intriguing and scandalous lives of the Wallace Collection’s founders; meet Queen Marie-Antoinette; and get made up 18th-century style, with fashion photographers We Are Photogirls.

Unique Pieces Arrive in the Shop

Textile artist Lindsay Taylor has created a beautiful embroidered peacock for the Wallace Collection based on Weenix’s painting Flowers on a Fountain with a Peacock. This will be on display in the shop and forms part of the celebrations for the re-opening of the Dutch Galleries. Event: Gala Fundraising Dinner to celebrate the reopening of the Dutch Galleries

After many years of work, the opening of the refurbished Dutch Galleries is here. To celebrate, the Wallace Collection will be holding a Gala Fundraising Dinner on 19 April 2012, 7.15 – 11pm. The evening will be a chance to enjoy the new galleries and view the Wallace Collection’s finest Dutch Old Masters, including works by Rembrandt, Jan Steen, Pieter de Hooch and Jacob van Ruysdael.
