Rubens: Reuniting the Great Landscapes
For the first time in over two hundred years, Peter Paul Rubens’s two great masterpieces of landscape painting, The Rainbow Landscape (The Wallace Collection) and A View of Het Steen in the Early Morning (The National Gallery) were reunited as part of an exhibition at the Wallace Collection, held between 3 June and 15 August 2021.
Explore our 3D virtual exhibition here. You can view an exhibition film in the second room, and in further rooms you can view the two paintings hanging side by side.
Use your arrow keys to move around the space, click and drag to turn in any direction, and click and hold on an artwork to learn more. Use the menu at the top to navigate between views.
This is the result of a special collaboration between the Wallace Collection and Vortic.
